Dog that attacked 6-week-old baby put down

The family’s husky attacked Ezra Mansoor for no reason in his crib on May 24. Mansoor’s mother said the dog had shown no signs of aggression in the past and other children had slept with him before without any problems.

YWAC had the care of the dog while he was placed in a 10-day bite quarantine following the attack.

“The Knox County Sheriff’s Office recommended euthanasia of the dog. Permission was obtained from the family to surrender the dog and the dog was humanely euthanized after the quarantine period was completed,” YWAC said.

Family members are raising money to support the Mansoor family. Anyone wishing to donate money can do so through a GoFundMe fundraiser.
