A shooting threat at the Pennsbury school is under investigation

FALLS TOWNSHIP, Pa. – A statement found in the bathroom of a Pennsbury elementary school that said “I’m going to shoot up the school” is being investigated by school officials and authorities.

An email from Pennsbury Schools Superintendent Thomas A. Smith and Manor Elementary School Principal Terri Salvucci said a student reported a “concerning statement” made in red marker in the locker room on Friday in a boys’ toilet at Manor Primary School.

The statement read: “I will shoot up the school.”

School officials said they checked hallway cameras to determine who was using the restroom and also compared handwriting samples.

The Falls Township Police Department was notified and is working with the school district to investigate the incident.

Because the school district has not identified the person responsible, it is taking additional security measures while the investigation continues.

“We take any matter involving school safety seriously, but we, along with local authorities, do not believe this is a credible statement or threat,” school officials said.
