Car catches fire after two-car collision on Freeway 405 in Seal Beach

SEAL BEACH, CA (June 11, 2024) – A vehicle caught fire after a two-car crash on the 405 Freeway near the 605 Freeway.

According to the Orange County Fire Department, the two-vehicle accident occurred shortly before 6 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, two vehicles collided on the northbound 405 Freeway near the intersection with the 605 Freeway. One of the cars involved then caught fire. The occupants were able to exit the burning vehicle unharmed.

A few minutes later, firefighters arrived and put out the flames. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident. The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating the factors that caused the accident.
