An argument at a graduation ceremony in Southfield Tuesday morning escalated into physical violence when one woman attacked another with “an object,” causing minor injuries and leading to an arrest, officials said.

According to a press release from Southfield Police Chief Elvin Barren, officers were called to Triumph Church around 11 a.m. for a report of a possible stabbing attack. The suspected attacker was arrested and taken to the Southfield Detention Center without further incident, the press release states.

Triumph Church is located at 15600 JL Hudson Drive.
