JNIMS Trained Nurses Association suspends strike after salary promise – Manipur News

Imphal, June 10:

The JNIMS Trained Nurses Association, led by President L. Ranjita Devi, has decided to suspend its ‘No Pay No Work’ strike for a week. This decision comes after the JNIMS Director assured the payment of three months’ salary.
A press release from the office of the Trained Nurses’ Association (JNIMS) said that the Director of JNIMS has given a written assurance that the salaries for March and April would be credited within a week. Moreover, the salary for the month of May would be paid after June 17.
In response to this promise, the association unanimously decided to call off the strike for one week. However, if the promised salaries are not paid within the said period, the strike will resume from June 18, 2024.
President L. Ranjita Devi and General Secretary Bhanumati L. expressed their gratitude for the understanding and support of the people of Manipur. Further details on the situation will be announced shortly.
