Police investigate after shooting in crowded recording studio in downtown LA

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred overnight at a recording studio in downtown Los Angeles.

According to initial reports, the officers were initially called to the 9th.th and San Pedro Street around 3 a.m. to a call about shots fired inside a building reported to be a music studio.


According to preliminary information, there were at least 20 people in the studio at that time.

A video from the scene obtained by KTLA shows police ordering everyone present to leave the studio with their hands raised.

Several people were seen handcuffed, but it is unclear if anyone was arrested. It is also unknown if anyone was injured or killed in the shooting.

No description of the suspect or motive has been released and the investigation is ongoing.
