Teenager arrested, man hospitalized after car accident

A teenager has been arrested and charged after a man was hit by a car in Johnstone.

As we reported yesterday, 999 emergency services were called to Thorn Brae at around 12:30am after a report of an injured man.

Today, police announced that a 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday.

Investigations are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 0140 of 8 June 2024.
