Rain and storms return to the region overnight

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Sunday is now a First Alert Weather Day with the risk of isolated strong storms

Sunday is now a First weather warning day for the potential for isolated strong storms. Scattered showers and storms will develop during the morning and early afternoon hours. Isolated cases of damaging wind gusts and torrential rain are the main concerns.

The maximum temperatures in many places are just under 27 degrees. Sunday evening at the CMA Fest is expected to be a bit drier, with only isolated showers possible.

NEXT WEEK

Next week is off to a great start! Monday and Tuesday will be mostly sunny and temperatures will be just over 27 degrees. Humidity will remain very low on both days.

It will be really hot on Wednesday. Expect partly cloudy skies and highs between 30 and 35 degrees. It will get even hotter from there.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday will bring a mix of sun and clouds with highs around 35 degrees in many places. Isolated thunderstorms cannot be ruled out every day. The second half of Saturday will be somewhat cloudy and there will be rain in the south.
