Chico police seek suspect in shooting near Highway 32 – Chico Enterprise-Record

CHICO – Chico police are searching for a suspect in connection with a shooting Friday night near Highway 32.

According to a press release, officers responded to a report of a shooting near the intersection of East Eighth Street and Olive Street at 9:41 p.m. – and upon arrival found an unidentified man with an apparent gunshot wound. The suspect had already fled the scene.

Officers rendered emergency medical aid to the victim and transported him to a nearby medical facility for further treatment. As of late Friday evening, the suspect was in stable condition and officers were interviewing witnesses, collecting evidence and following up on any leads regarding a possible suspect.
