Two suspects in custody in Gila River shooting that left two dead | Arizona News

PHOENIX, Ariz. (KVOA) – Two suspects have been identified in the investigation into a shooting along the Gila River that left two people, including a police officer, dead.

The FBI’s Phoenix field office and the Gila River Police Department announced Sunday that the two suspects were taken into custody Saturday.

They say one of the suspects is an adult man and the other is an underage boy.

According to the FBI Phoenix, both suspects are currently receiving medical treatment for injuries they sustained in the shooting.

The FBI says it is conducting interviews, collecting evidence, sharing information and working collaboratively to determine all aspects of the investigation. However, no further information about the shooting has been released.

Once the FBI’s case is completed, it will be turned over to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona for a charging decision.
