New arrests in shooting in Peabody, MA – NBC Boston

Two more teenagers were arrested in a shooting that broke out last week in a neighborhood in Peabody, Massachusetts, police said.

No one was injured in the shooting in Littles Lane on Tuesday evening, May 21, police said. A 15-year-old was arrested earlier.

The new arrests were announced Thursday. Peabody police said a SWAT team was involved in the operation that led to the children’s arrest. Details of the arrests, including time and location, are available.

According to police, the two youths are to be charged in Salem Juvenile Court. They are accused of six counts of assault resulting in death, five counts of assault with a firearm, damage to property and two counts of intentional damage to a motor vehicle.

On Tuesday, bullets flew through a North Shore neighborhood and a teenager was arrested.

Local resident Susan Powers had previously told NBC10 Boston that her granddaughter’s boyfriend was sitting in his car when a bullet shattered the rear window during the shooting.

“Luckily, he ducked when he did it,” Powers said. “He could have been next.”
