The Houthis reportedly attacked six ships in the Mediterranean, Red Sea and Arabian Sea.

The pro-Iranian Yemeni Houthi group has reportedly attacked six ships in the Mediterranean, Red Sea and Arabian Sea, “as part of the expansion of the fourth phase of military operations in support of the Palestinian resistance in Gaza.” The Houthis’ military spokesman stated yesterday: Yahya Sare’ein a televised speech quoted by the Beirut-based Houthi-owned broadcaster Al Masirah.

Among the ships affected is the Marshall Islands-flagged bulk carrier Laax, which was damaged in a Houthis missile attack off the coast of Yemen on May 28. The Shiite group also launched attacks on the ships Morea and Sealady in the Red Sea, Alba and Maersk Hartford in the Arabian Sea, and Minvera Antonia in the Mediterranean, Sare’e said.
