Quakertown rapist sentenced to prison

A Bucks County judge sentenced a 60-year-old man to 18 ½ to 47 years in prison for repeatedly raping and sexually assaulting two girls in a Quakertown home.

Matias J. Martinez Morales, formerly of Quakertown, was found guilty by a Bucks County jury in late January on one count each of rape by use of force, rape of a child, indecent touching of a person by use of force and terroristic threats, as well as two counts each of unlawful contact with a minor, indecent touching of a person under 13 and enticement of a minor.

Bucks County District Court Judge Jeffrey L. Finley imposed the prison term on Tuesday, May 28, and also sentenced Martinez Morales to five years of probation. Finley also ordered that Martinez Morales have no contact with the victims.

The Pennsylvania State Sexual Offenders Assessment Board concluded that although Martinez Morales did not meet the criteria to be classified as a sexually violent offender, he would still have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

This investigation by the Quakertown County Police Department began in November 2022. That month, Quakertown Detective Ryan Naugle received a report from Child Protective Services indicating that a 16-year-old girl had been raped by an adult male at the age of 4.

During a forensic interview conducted by the Child Advocacy Center, the victim reported that Matias Martinez Morales raped her multiple times and threatened to kill her and her family if she told anyone. A second victim was interviewed by the Child Advocacy Center and reported that she was sexually abused by Martinez Morales multiple times when she was 6 years old.
