New Mexico man arrested for sexually abusing child in Midland

MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) – The Midland County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 23-year-old Kyle Junker for aggravated sexual assault of a child.

The MCSO reports that officers were dispatched to Midland Memorial Hospital on May 23 for sexual abuse of a child. As a result of the investigation, a warrant was issued for Junker’s arrest.

With the assistance of the MCSO Narcotics Division, Texas DPS CID, Texas Rangers, and New Mexico State Police Division 3, Junker was located and arrested near Roswell, New Mexico.

Junker was taken to the Chaves County Detention Center and is awaiting extradition to Midland.
