Atlanta Braves lose star Ronald Acuna Jr. to torn ACL

Atlanta Braves star Ronald Acuna Jr. will miss the remainder of the season after tearing the ACL in his left knee.

Acuna fell to the ground after his knee buckled during a delayed steal attempt during Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The injury came less than three years after he tore the ACL in his right knee.

Acuna won the National League MVP last year after hitting .337 with 41 home runs, 106 RBIs and 73 stolen bases. He was the first player in MLB history to finish with at least 40 home runs and 70 stolen bases.
