Nablus: Israeli colonialists burn land and barns, attack cars, injure a Palestinian |

On Monday evening, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonists burned Palestinian fields and a barn, injuring one man, northwest and south of Nablus in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

According to media sources, numerous settlers from the illegal Homesh colony, which was built on stolen Palestinian land, attacked numerous Palestinian homes and burned farmland and a barn in the Ras Al-Mohallal area, east of the village of Burqa, northwest of Nablus.

They added that the settlers were accompanied by Israeli soldiers who cordoned off the area and made no attempts to stop them.

According to the Palestinian Red Crescent (PRCS), a Palestinian suffered concussions and bruises after falling from a great height while chasing the colonialists.

In addition, the colonists attacked and pelted Palestinian cars near the town of Huwwara, south of Nablus.

All Israeli colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in occupied East Jerusalem and the surrounding area, are illegal under international law, the Fourth Geneva Convention and various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under international law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The occupying power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits “individual or mass transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory.”
