10 dead, 30 injured in traffic accident in Turkey – World

ANKARA: Ten people were killed and 30 others injured in a highway accident in the southern Turkish province of Mersin on Sunday, the Ihlas news agency reported.

An intercity bus, a truck and several cars were involved in a chain accident in the Yenice section of the TAG highway, Mersin Province Governor Ali Hamza Pehlivan was quoted as saying.

The bus reportedly skidded in the rainy weather, overturned and crossed into the oncoming lane, causing a chain accident involving two cars and a van. Police, gendarmerie, medical and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene.
