Six people, including a child, died in road accident near Hassan, Karnataka | Bengaluru

Six people, including a child, were killed in a traffic accident nearby this morning, police said on Sunday.

The incident reportedly occurred when the car they were travelling in collided with a truck on National Highway 75.

Among the dead were two women, three men and a child, police said.

They said all except the driver were from the same family and hailed from Chikkaballapura, adding that they were allegedly returning from Mangaluru.

The bodies were taken to hospital for further treatment.

The police have registered the case and further investigations are underway, it said.
