Technician kills wife and stages it as an accident

HYDERABAD: Madhulatha, 29, a software engineer, was brutally murdered on Friday by her husband Nagendra Baradwaj, also a software professional in Bachupally, who tried to portray the death as a cylinder explosion.

According to a complaint, Madhulatha was harassed by her husband for a long time.

During an argument on Friday, Baradwaj allegedly stabbed Madhulatha, who comes from Andhra Pradesh, several times. She has a 17-year-old son.

After stabbing his wife, Baradwaj allegedly brought a gas cylinder from the kitchen to the bedroom, left it open and called the emergency services to make Madhulatha’s death appear to be an accident. During his conversation with the emergency services, Baradwaj allegedly confessed to killing his wife.

A police officer talking to TNIEconfirmed the arrest of Baradwaj on murder charges.

Baradwaj suffered no injuries and was immediately taken into custody.
