Stephen Kohn on the DOJ’s new whistleblower program

In this special episode of the Whistleblower of the Week podcast, host Jane Turner speaks with leading whistleblower attorney Stephen M. Kohn, founding partner of Kohn, Kohn & Colapinto and board chair of the National Whistleblower Center, about the Department of Justice’s ongoing efforts to develop a new whistleblower awards program.

“We are facing a major whistleblower development, one of the most important in the last twenty years,” explains Kohn. “The Department of Justice plays a critical role in all major anti-corruption and anti-fraud cases. So if we can help the Department of Justice understand how they need to build this new program, that will be an incredible step forward.”

Kohn and Turner discuss the program’s background and its potential to revolutionize the DOJ’s handling of whistleblower cases and its ability to combat fraud and corruption. Kohn also outlines the key elements that the DOJ must implement for the program to be successful.
