Woman killed in crash on US 33 identified as 85-year-old

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – The woman who died in a crash on US 33 Saturday has been identified as an 85-year-old.

The Allen County coroner identified the woman Tuesday as Mary E. Cox of Fort Wayne.

The accident occurred around 9:15 a.m. on US 33 near Felger Road in northwest Allen County.

Cox was pronounced dead at the hospital that morning.

The coroner concluded that her death was caused by blunt force trauma in the accident and classified the accident as an accident.

The crash is still under investigation.
