Jersey City man arrested after pursuit in two counties

A Jersey City man faces multiple charges following a police pursuit that spanned two counties Friday.

According to East Rutherford police, Miguel Acevedo was driving a black Ford Edge on Route 3 at a high rate of speed.

Officers attempted to stop the vehicle. However, police say Acevedo didn’t stop until he reached Jersey City.

Police arrested him and he is currently being held in the Bergen County Jail.

According to authorities, Acevedo faces multiple traffic violations, charges of resisting arrest and possession of a knife that was in the front seat of his vehicle.
