The main threats will be damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph, large hail and possible flooding. The risk of tornadoes with this system is low, but not zero. Stay weather aware and vigilant today, tonight and Saturday.

Afternoon high temperatures will rise to around 80 degrees today with cloudy skies and a muggy factor. Winds will be from the east at 5 to 10 miles per hour, gusting at times. Showers and storms will continue into the overnight hours. Lows will be in the 60s and 70s with gusty winds.

Check out the latest live and local weather below, available to stream on WSFA Weather Now! Please note that this stream does not contain live severe weather coverage, only data on the latest weather conditions.

The storm system that will move in on Friday is expected to bring some showers and storms to the area on Saturday. A few storms could be more severe. Highs will again be in the low 80s with a mix of sun and clouds. Lows will remain in the 60s.

Apart from a heavy shower, mostly dry weather is expected to return until Sunday. Highs will rise into the mid to upper 80s under mostly to partly sunny skies. Lows will be mild in the 60s.

The dry weather trend will continue into early next week. Highs will warm into the upper 80s near 90 degrees on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, all under mostly to partly sunny skies. Starting next week there will be mild lows in the 60s.

The heat will continue through the end of next week as highs continue to be in the upper 80s to lower 90s. There are also some signs that some showers and storms will return to the region late next week as we can expect a chance of rain on Thursday. Something we will be watching closely and continuing to adjust the forecast as we get closer to next week.
