Walnut Creek man arrested for alleged sexual assault of child under 10

Walnut Creek police have arrested a man suspected of sexually abusing a juvenile under the age of 10.

Kevin Osbourne, 67, of Walnut Creek, was arrested April 30.

Police said on Wednesday that the case had been reported to them several weeks ago, after which investigators conducted a thorough investigation.

Police said the allegations stem from assaults that occurred 15 to 20 years ago.

Osborne remains in custody at the Contra Costa County Jail in lieu of $3.3 million.

Police said Wednesday that the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office has charged Osbourne with two counts of sexual assault on a child under 10 and 13 counts of lewd acts on a child.
