Man dies after stabbing in Otsego, police said

OTSEGO, MI – Police are investigating a fatal knife attack in Otsego.

Police responded to an apartment complex and were greeted by a 24-year-old woman before finding a 51-year-old man bleeding on the living room floor.

The victim, an Otsego resident, appeared to have been stabbed and could not be saved by emergency crews, according to an Otsego police news release.

The incident occurred on Friday, May 10, around 6 p.m. in the 400 block of Garfield Street.

Anyone with information about the stabbing is asked to contact the Allegan County Dispatch Center at 269-673-3899 or Otsego police at 269-692-6111.

The Otsego Police Department, Allegan County Sheriff’s Office, Plainwell EMS, Otsego Fire Department and the Michigan State Police Crime Scene Response Team all responded to the incident.
