A Kansas City man was injured in a parachute accident in Weeping Water on Saturday. When officers arrived, the victim, identified as 41-year-old Jonathan Lowe, was being transported by the Weeping Water Rescue Squad to Bergan Mercy Hospital with a traumatic brain injury, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office said.

Investigators said Lowe’s parachute bent at about 20 feet in the air, causing him to descend rapidly before hitting a car and then the ground.
