Hyderabad: Two technicians were killed and another injured in a road accident on the Rajiv Rahadari National Highway in Lalgadi Malakpet village near Shameerpet on Friday morning. Police suspect that speeding may have been the cause of the accident. The car in which the technicians – Mohan, 25, and M Deepika, 23, were travelling lost control, hit the median in the middle of the road and overturned several times before colliding with a motorcycle on the opposite lane. The car screeched off the road, police said. Mohan and Deepika died on the spot, while motorcyclist Shubh Das, 25, sustained serious injuries and is battling for his life. The force of the impact left the car in a wreck. Police said Mohan and Deepika, colleagues and residents of Hakimpet, left their homes and told their families that they were going to work. At around 9:15 am, while they were passing through Lalgadi Malakpet, they met with an accident. Police said the road was straight at the accident site but the technicians lost control of their vehicle due to overspeed and drove into the median.
