Skye Blue is overwhelmed by all the support after the ROH taping incident

Skye Blue faced a wave of sexist and vulgar comments during the last ROH taping and ended up receiving a lot of support as a result. With this in mind, Blue has finally broken her silence on the matter.

During the recent ROH tapings, an incident between Skye Blue and an unruly fan disrupted the event. According to a fan in attendance, a man in the front row repeatedly made vulgar comments about Skye Blue’s body, called her inappropriate names, and behaved aggressively throughout the game. Despite repeated requests from nearby people to stop, the man only became louder and more hostile.

Referee Aubrey Edwards took action and asked security to remove the disruptive fan. Both AEW and arena security responded, but the situation escalated when the man resisted removal, resulting in additional security deployment. Worryingly, the man had a child with him during the incident, adding to the concerns of those present.

Skye Blue quickly left the ring, visibly upset by the behavior. Luckily, Blue received tons of support from fans and professional wrestlers, including even Chelsea Green.

Skye Blue did it Twitter and broke her silence on the matter as she expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of support following the shocking incident during the ROH taping.

“I am overwhelmed by all the love and support. Thank you everyone, you have no idea how much it is appreciated 💙
Let’s make sure future generations of female wrestlers don’t have to deal with this shit.”

It is disheartening that such behavior continues into 2024, especially at live events where everyone should feel safe and respected. Many fans are frustrated that some people still blame women for the despicable actions of others while ignoring the real problem of disrespect and sexism. It’s great that Skye Blue has received so much support, but fans feel that issues like this should be addressed head-on so they never happen again.
