Man fights for life after stabbing in Fairfield Heights, Sydney

A man is in hospital fighting for his life after suffering serious injuries in an alleged stabbing in western Sydney.

Emergency crews rushed to Boulevarde in Fairfield Heights around 7:45 p.m. on Sunday after an assault was reported at an event center.

The 45-year-old man suffered stab wounds to his shoulder and back and was treated on site by paramedics.

He was admitted to hospital in critical but stable condition for further treatment.

Police have secured the crime scene and launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
