Jeff Foltz, 52, of Atlanta

Jeffrey Peter Foltz, 52, passed away at home after a long battle with cancer on July 6, 2024, alongside his beloved wife Lisa.

Jeff was born in Petoskey, Michigan on August 6, 1971 to parents Dennis and Connie (Walker) Foltz. He graduated from Petoskey High School in 1989 where he discovered his passion for baseball, after which he enlisted in the United States Army. He was deployed to Operation Desert Storm and upon completion of his service, Jeff was honorably discharged as a decorated veteran. Jeff spent the majority of his professional career as a CNC programmer/operator.

On August 16, 2014, Jeff married the love of his life, Delisa, in Atlanta. They both spent their free time rock digging in the Upper Peninsula, with a special connection to the Lake Superior shoreline in Grand Marais. Jeff also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching his grandchildren compete in sports.

Besides his wife and parents, Jeff is survived by his father-in-law, Sabin Vandercook; his brothers, Tim (Crystalynn) Foltz of Mason, MI, and Dan (Jayeon) Foltz of South Korea; his sons Kevin (Kerstin) Foltz of Schwebheim, Germany, Ryan (Amber) Vandercook of Normal, IL, and Joseph (Emily) Gross of Linden, MI; his grandchildren Fenja, Aubrey and Bentley; and several nieces and nephews.

As Jeff wished, cremation took place and arrangements were handled by Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, MI.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeff’s memory may be made to the Atlanta Area Little League program and Operation Second Chance, a veterans organization affiliated with the V-8 Hunt Club of Atlanta.
