The Pub @ EAV will replace Elder Tree Public House in East Atlanta Village by the end of September.

Co-owner Bree Towry closed the Flat Shoals Avenue Irish pub earlier this month and teamed up with East Atlanta Village resident Kasie Scott and former Bone Lick BBQ and P’Cheen chef Mike LaSage to reopen it as The Pub @ EAV.

LaSage’s menu will draw on traditional British pub fare, including fish and chips, Sunday roasts and a combination of Scotch egg and eggs Benedict. A Cuban Pop Tart (a savoury hand pie) will be topped with ham, smoked pork, Swiss cheese, pickles and spicy mustard. LaSage also plans to serve a selection of pasta dishes. Expect late dinners and Sunday brunch as well.

The interior will be refreshed with live plants, a green, blue and dark wood color palette, a copper-topped bar and exposed brick walls adorned with artwork by local artists. Two garage doors will open onto Flat Shoals Avenue with outdoor seating at the front and back of the restaurant.

Each week, The Pub will feature everything from live music and sporting events on its TVs to pop-ups and games like darts and poker.

The space previously housed the Blue Frog Cantina until 2012, when then-owner Brent Cunningham transformed his Mexican restaurant into the Elder Tree Public House. The pub has become a go-to spot for watching football games at EAV.
