CUET, KUET, RUET interrupt fourth phase of the approval process

Admissions have been suspended until further notice due to “unavoidable circumstances,” the universities’ websites say

Admission procedures at three technical universities have been suspended following a total strike by teachers, civil servants and employees of state universities demanding the abolition of the Prottoy general pension system.

On June 6, Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology, Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology and Khulna University of Engineering and Technology issued circulars asking students to complete the fourth phase of the admission process for the academic year 2023-24 on July 3 and 4.

However, it was later postponed to July 14 and 15.

According to the website of the central admissions committee of these three universities, admission processes have been suspended until further notice due to “unavoidable circumstances”.

Students will be informed of the new times at a later date via the committee website and via SMS.

In the fourth admission phase, students who are ranked 5,801 to 6,500 based on their performance have the opportunity to opt for admission to these universities.
