2 dead, 4 injured in shooting in Fort Lauderdale

A man and a woman were killed and several others, including a child, were injured in a possible drive-by shooting in Fort Lauderdale Monday night, police said.

The shooting occurred shortly before 8 p.m. in the 700 block of Northwest 10th Terrace, between Sistrunk and Sunrise Boulevard.

The police found five adults and the child with gunshot wounds. The woman died at the scene and the man in the hospital. The injuries of the others were not life-threatening, the police said.

“This is an isolated incident and not an active use of firearms,” Fort Lauderdale police said on X (formerly known as Twitter).
