Wyoming man killed in July 4 car crash near Green River

A 41-year-old Wyoming man has died after his car overturned near the Green River, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

It happened on July 4 at approximately 6:22 p.m. near mile marker 9 on Wyoming 530, about six miles south of Green River.

According to a summary of the fatal accidents, Thomas Huntington was driving a southbound Buick LaCrosse when he left the right lane.

“The vehicle then returned to the roadway and rolled approximately twice before coming to a stop in the northbound lane,” the summary states.

Huntington was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to his injuries.

Possible influencing factors are not listed in the summary.

Huntington is the 47th person to die on Wyoming highways so far this year.
