Euro 2024: All Turkish players banned from quarter-final against the Netherlands

As in the 2008 edition, Turkey will face the Netherlands in the quarter-finals of the 2024 European Championship, securing a place in the semi-finals.

Several Turkish players received yellow cards in the final group match against the Czech Republic for a brawl that broke out at the end of the game.

This has put Tukrey in a complicated situation in the knockout stages as, according to UEFA’s rules for the 2024 European Championship, a player who receives two yellow cards will be suspended for one match.

These are the players who are suspended for the Türkiye vs Netherlands match:

  • Storm Cook

  • Ismail Yuksek

  • Dear Demiral

While Kocku and Yuksek were suspended for a yellow card, Demiral faces a two-match ban for a political gesture in his last game against Austria.

Turkish players who have a yellow card, are at risk of suspension and could miss the semi-finals:

  • Kaan Ayhan

  • Ugurcan Cakir

  • Zeki Celik

  • Arda Guler

  • Mert Gunok

  • Mert Müldür

  • Salih Ozcan

  • Kenan Yildiz
