Williamsbridge: One person hospitalized after traffic accident on East Gun Hill Road

A pedestrian was hospitalized on Friday following a traffic accident in the Williamsbridge neighborhood of the Bronx.

The FDNY said it received a call at 11:57 a.m. on Friday, July 5, reporting a person lying under a car on East Gun Hill Road at Webster Avenue.

They said units arrived on scene and a patient was removed from under the car by firefighters and taken to St. Barnabas Hospital. They said the person’s condition and description are unknown.

We have reached out to the NYPD for more information and will update this story as we receive more details.

During collision investigations, the NYPD handles all criminal aspects of the incident, while the NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) inspects the roadway at the accident scene.
