84-year-old woman hit by car in Port Orange – WFTV

PORT ORANGE, Fla. – An 84-year-old woman was struck by a car Friday afternoon, Port Orange police said.

At around 2:16 p.m., police were called to a Publix at 1660 Taylor Road for a report of an accident involving a car and a pedestrian.

Police said the pedestrian, Marguerite Cuomo, was taken to Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach.

According to a press release, Cuomo is currently in critical condition.

Port Orange police said the driver is cooperating with the investigation and no charges have been filed against him.

No other vehicles or persons were involved in the accident.
