Motorcyclist killed in highway crash in Trumbull, Connecticut: police

A preliminary investigation revealed that a motorcycle and a Honda Accord were traveling in the left lane when the Honda collided with the rear of the motorcycle.

TRUMBULL, Connecticut — A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday evening when his motorcycle collided with a car on Route 25 in Trumbull, according to Connecticut State Police.

State police responded to Route 25 South near Exit 6 in Trumbull around 10:20 p.m.

A Suzuki GSX-R1000 and a Honda Accord were traveling in the left lane when the Honda collided with the rear of the motorcycle, a preliminary investigation revealed.

The motorcyclist, identified by state police as Abraham Martinez, 43, of Naugatuck, was taken to an area hospital where he later died, state police said.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation, Trumbull Fire Department and Trumbull Police Department were also on scene, state police said.
