Welsh Labour MP Rhianon Passmore has been suspended for possessing two number plates

A Labour Party spokesman said: “The Labour Party expects our elected representatives to uphold the highest standards in public life.

“All complaints will be investigated in accordance with the party’s complaints procedures.”

An inspection by HPI revealed that the license plate with the visible adhesive strip attachment was the vehicle’s previous registration until earlier this year, the BBC reported.

A South Wales Police spokesman said: “It appears that the tape holding the number plate to the car has lost its effectiveness and the number plate has fallen off.”

“The car is on private property and no violation was found. The owner of the car is aware of the matter.”

In October 2017, Ms Passmore was arrested by South Wales Police for failing to submit to a breathalyzer test.

She was later disqualified from driving for 20 months, fined £1,000, ordered to pay £100 in victim compensation and £620 in legal costs.

Ms Passmore was also suspended from the National Assembly for two weeks and from the Labour Party from 10 July 2018 to 1 October 2018.

She later apologized for the insult and referred to “private conflicts that I found difficult to overcome.”

She said she tried to drive from Cardiff to her mother’s house on the day of her arrest after drinking three glasses of wine.

Her car broke down in the St. Mellons area – while she was waiting for the breakdown service, the police arrived and asked her to provide a breath sample for analysis.

Ms Passmore had stated that she was unable to provide a sample due to her asthma and lack of access to her asthma medication.
