Overnight incident requires heavy police presence – DiscoverWeyburn.com

There was a heavy police presence on Bison Avenue, near the old Haig School grounds, in the early morning hours. The reason for the presence has not yet been disclosed by the Weyburn Police Service.

Shortly after 1:00 a.m., a loud bang was heard, prompting police to cordon off Bison Avenue and 13th Street and restrict access to the intersection of the two streets. Police could be heard over loudspeakers announcing that a person had been arrested in a residence on the street and was asking for people to leave with their hands raised.
