Cd’A man was sentenced to life imprisonment for sexually abusing children

A 35-year-old Coeur d’Alene man will spend at least 30 years in prison for sexually abusing children over a period of nearly a decade, the Kootenai County District Attorney’s Office said.

Jullian P. Sabin was convicted of lewd conduct with a minor and two counts of sexual abuse of a child. Senior District Judge Scott Wayman sentenced Sabin on Thursday to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 30 years, the district attorney’s office said in a news release.

From approximately 2014 to 2023, Sabin abused four children between the ages of 4 and 15, the press release states. At times, abuse occurred almost daily, with Sabin having access to the children when the mothers were at work or sleeping.

Sabin often forced some of the children to watch him sexually molest the other children and coerced them into having sex with each other, prosecutors said. One of the children, who was 6 at the time, was diagnosed with a sexually transmitted disease, and two of the children were given oral contraceptives at ages 11 and 12 at Sabin’s direction.

Sabin committed the abuse through manipulation tactics, bribery, recruitment and abuse of his position of trust and authority in the victims’ lives, the press release states.

Prosecutors obtained a grand jury indictment and an arrest warrant for Sabin in October.
