Silver Alert issued for 68-year-old man from Bel Aire

WICHITA, Kansas (KWCH) – A 68-year-old man was reported missing in Bel Aire, triggering a Silver Alert in the city north of Wichita. Bel Aire police released information and asked for assistance in locating Darrell S. Cummings.

“Due to a mild to moderate cognitive impairment that affects decision making, as well as short-term memory loss, he may require assistance upon his return home,” Bel Aire police said.

According to police, Cummings was last seen at his home in the 5700 block of North Lycee Street in Bel Aire around 8 p.m. Thursday.

“Mr Cummings may appear confused, dazed or disoriented,” police said.

Cummings was last seen wearing a light blue shirt and gray shorts, police said. He is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 175 pounds. Cummings is bald and has blue eyes. Anyone who sees him or knows where he might be should call 911.
