“Uninhabitable conditions”: Toddler removed from house, three people arrested after child pornography investigation in New Caney

NEW CANEY, Texas – A toddler was removed from a New Caney home after authorities found the child in what they described as an “uninhabitable condition” following the execution of a search warrant related to an investigation into the promotion and distribution of child pornography.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office of the Third Precinct said multiple agencies executed search warrants on the home.

When authorities entered the house, they found it uninhabitable. The floor was covered with animal urine and feces.

“Due to the circumstances, the Woodlands Fire Department’s Hazardous Materials Team and Child Protective Services were dispatched. A toddler and several animals were discovered inside the home. The toddler was removed from the home by Child Protective Services and the animals were safely removed by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office of Second Precinct and Montgomery County Animal Control,” the Sheriff’s Office said.

Three people were arrested as part of the investigation.

The constable’s office says Robert Craig Walker has been linked to the promotion and possession of thousands of images depicting sexual assaults on infants and young children. He is charged with five counts of promotion/distribution of child pornography, endangerment of a child and cruelty to animals.

In addition, Frances Walker and Leigh Baker were charged with cruelty to animals and endangering a child.

All three were taken to the Montgomery County Jail. Robert Walker is being held on $170,500 bail. Francis Walker and Leigh Baker are being held on $25,750 bail.
