Fairbury couple arrested following child sexual harassment investigation

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Neb. (KOLN) – The Nebraska State Patrol arrested a Fairbury couple following an investigation into a reported sexual assault of a child.

NSP said the investigation began in April when they received a report of a sexual assault on a child in Jefferson County.

Investigators arrested Brandon Myers, 40, of Fairbury on May 2 on suspicion of third-degree assault, third-degree sexual assault of a child and child abuse. NSP said Myers, an employee of the Jefferson County Jail, was lodged at the Thayer County Jail.

After further investigation, Brandon’s wife, 44-year-old Bobbi Myers, was arrested on May 7 on suspicion of child abuse and failure to report child abuse. Bobbi was booked into the Jefferson County Jail.

This is an ongoing investigation. To protect the victim in the case, NSP has decided to withhold further details at this time.
