Woman dead, 3 teenagers in hospital after accident in northwest Las Vegas Valley

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A woman is dead and three teens were hospitalized following a crash in the northwest Las Vegas Valley, according to Nevada State Police.

At around 9:40 a.m. Sunday, Nevada State Police responded to an accident on Cheyenne Avenue east of 215 after a single-vehicle crash was reported.

Police said one woman was pronounced dead at the scene and three teenagers were taken to hospital where they were in stable condition.

Cheyenne Avenue eastbound at the 215 intersection is closed, as is the 215/Cheyenne exit southbound. Shadow Peak Road westbound at the Cheyenne Avenue intersection is also closed, police said.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area, which is expected to be closed for about four to five hours, police said.
