Accident on the motocross track in Wareham – NECN

According to police, a teenager was involved in an accident on a motocross track in Wareham, Massachusetts on Saturday.

Wareham Police confirmed that Wareham EMS and Onset Fire Department were called to the track at 131 Atwood Farm Way around 12:30 p.m. No information was immediately available about the condition of the teenager involved.

Diamond MX, the operator of the race track at this location, described the situation as a “tragic accident” and announced that the track would remain closed on Sunday.

The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office has been tasked with the investigation.

Wareham Police said one of their officers was involved in an accident en route to the scene. The officer was taken to Tobey Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
