Missing Brazos County man found dead in Midland

MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – The Midland County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call Tuesday reporting that a body had been found in the 2100 block of Market Street.

On Tuesday, June 11, MSCO patrol officers responded to the 2100 block of Market Street after a jogger found a body. Detectives were able to identify the body as Troy Neel Luce, who was later reported missing and was from Brazos County.

According to the Silver Alert issued by the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office, 73-year-old Troy Luce was last seen on Saturday, June 8, at 6:15 p.m. in the 2400 block of West Old Spanish Road in Bryan, Texas, driving a blue Nissan Frontier.

According to authorities, the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office has been contacted and MCSO investigators are assisting with the investigation. An autopsy has also been ordered to determine the cause of death.

Officials say this is an ongoing investigation and no further details are available.
