Two people arrested for prostitution and money laundering after raid on Green Spa

St. Landry Parish, Louisiana (KLFY)– Two women were arrested after authorities executed a search warrant at the Green Spa in Opelousas; authorities had received several complaints accusing women at the business of engaging in prostitution activities.

According to Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz, “The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office has received numerous complaints from citizens over the past few months about Green Spa, located at 628 Creswell Lane Opelousas, Louisiana. Complainants stated that female employees engaged in sexual acts in exchange for money.”

St. Landry Parish police officers executed a search warrant at the Green Spa, 628 Creswell Lane, and arrested two women, identified as 44-year-old Xiaoxia Li, aka Yuang Yong, and 55-year-old Luyanxing Couras. One man was questioned at the scene but later released.

Authorities seized two items valued at $2,487.00, two digital video recorders, seven cell phones, an external hard drive, an iPad, two checkbooks for a person who was not at the spa, a handwritten ledger, numerous business and professional documents, and an ATM.

The investigation revealed that the women had disguised the massage parlor as a brothel. Authorities said the two women offered sexual favors in exchange for money, and after interviewing customers, investigators found that the women solicited customers to perform various sexual acts in exchange for money.

According to the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office, the ATM was conveniently located in the lobby of the store so customers could withdraw cash to pay for the sex acts.

Police officials said the two suspects were not very cooperative and spoke very little English. Both women are charged with money laundering, operating a prostitution establishment and soliciting prostitution. Bail was set at $10,000. The suspects were released on bail after their arrest.

Anyone with additional information about the Green Spa is asked to contact the SLPSO at 337-948-6516.

The investigation is still ongoing and further arrests are possible.
