2 men arrested for shoplifting at Dollar Tree in Atlanta and fighting with police – WSB-TV Channel 2

ATLANTA – Atlanta police arrested two men accused of shoplifting early Sunday morning after one of them got into a scuffle with a police officer.

On Sunday, June 9, around 4 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Dollar Tree store at 906 Ralph D. Abernathy Blvd. SW for a report of a burglary at a business premises.

When officers arrived, they saw a man leaving the store with a book bag.

An officer attempted to stop the suspect, but the man with the book bag engaged in a struggle with the officer.

The officer used his taser on the suspect and arrested him.

A witness gave officers a description of a second man and they were able to arrest him at a nearby gas station.

Both men had stolen goods from Dollar Tree and were charged.

The police did not identify the two men.
