Police search for man who robbed East Liberty store with air rifle – WPXI

PITTSBURGH – Pittsburgh police are searching for a suspect in a robbery in East Liberty.

On Saturday at 4:45 p.m., officers were called to the 6100 block of Penn Avenue.

According to police, a man entered a store with a suspected long gun and demanded money.

The man fled with an unknown amount of cash. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, a pink hoodie, black pants and black shoes with white soles.

According to police, the weapon, believed to be a long gun at the time of the robbery, was a BB gun that the robber left behind. He never fired it and no one was injured.

A restricted area has been set up and police are searching for the suspect.
